Thank you for attending an audition for admission to the Faculty of Music in Singapore. I am pleased to confirm that your playing meets the audition requirement for entrance to the Bachelor of Music course.
Your audition result is valid for either Semester 1 (late February) 2009 or Semester 2 (late July) 2009. When you wish to proceed further, you would need to complete the Application for Admission as an International Undergraduate Student form. You will need to attach details of your previous education and an application fee of AU$100.00 (which is refunded from tuition on arrival).
You may send an Application Form at any time, and provided your educational qualifications are in order, you will then receive a formal Offer of a BMus place within 3 weeks. You can forward it directly to the International Office, University of Melbourne, Vic. 3010 Australia, or you may pass the form to our representative in Singapore
Should you experience any delays with the processing of your Application, or should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact either our Degree Programs Manager, Mr Andrew Hall or me directly.

2 weeks just flew past like that. Though i'm just starting to miss home, i guess it's really time for me to go back home and do what i'm suppose to do. I can't believe this year passes so quickly and soon i will be back to school again. The trip was more of a roller coaster ride with good and bad things happening. But, i shall ignore all the bad stuffs and remember all the good ones! It's the first time i flew so far... across the world to the so called "New World"-- North America. Spent money for all my friends and bought only a pair of Berms for myself.. -_-" What the hell?? Alright, a few more pics for all to see!

Ok, everything has finally sunk in. Time to worry. Seriously, I've never thought i could pass the audition for UniMel. I would really love to go there for my Bachelor of Music. But somehow i know that i shouldn't force myself if i cannot afford the heavy sum of money required. That being said, i still cling onto some hope that i will get to go... As i remember someone told me, "if you get through, i promise i will hold my graduation ceremony there and at the same time give u a visit.." =)
Message for everyone out there. If you've read ALL my post since 2006, i need not say more. I always believe that nothing is impossible. What matters most is how much we want it and how much sacrifice are we willing to make. I've came across people telling me things like, "Sure anot? Music?" and heard things behind my back like "Julian cannot play.. for what he wanna do music? He can never achieve that.." Now i shall show it to you guys. I've been telling people that we should decide for ourselves what we want. And not let the society mould us into what it wants us to become. We take things in our own hand and now i've shown that i can do it.. i'm sure everyone out there can too. Maybe it's down to luck that i've gone through the audition. But i dare say that for one thing, i never gave up.. never. Though a do admit a few weeks before the audition, i felt like giving up music totally.. serious. But a voice told me not to.. If i give up, i would just be any other people in the society.. which let fate decide on what they will be. I've came far.. I took such a long time.. By giving up without even trying, it will be the greatest failure and greatest regret of my life.
Julian will always be julian. The one who tries to crack lame jokes, who laugh the loudest and cry the hardest. I will keep my feet on the ground and make sure i fulfil my dreams of being a great conductor... For i've failed before..

Ok.. people's been asking me about my audition. Well, i don't think i can get in. Haha.. I thought i did ok, much better than the morning lesson i had with Francis. But somehow, the feeling i got from the dean was, i'm not good enough. Shall not think too much. It was last minute anyway. Results will be out end of this week. By then i'll know the answer. But whatever it is, i know i've tried. That's the most important thing. =)

Evelyn just called me... 6.25pm... The audition reults.. I GOT IN!!!! @#@!$@#%$ HOw the hell did i get through the audition!?! HAHA... University of Melbourne, here i come!!! But now, i got to settle many things! Finally.. i've came far.. really. I feel like crying. After all the shit i've been through. Thanks everyone for the support! I'm not sure whether i'll be going though. Money is a problem. Got to discuss it with parents and find some sponsors. In the meantime, let me enjoy the moment!!!

Can't have a more efficient off day than today! Morning soccer with band peeps and completed the favour for eileen. Then came the sad email: Evelyn from University of Melbourne replied my email saying that i won't be able to attend the audition as the application date is over. WTH?? Then i called her, saying that i DIE DIE must try for the audition! She spoke to the Professor and eventually allowed me to take the last slot. Phew! By then, i already cancelled the lesson with Francis.
So well, i went to Orchard for an appointment with Edulink to apply for University of Sydney, University of Birmingham, University of East Anglia and University of Sussex. The last 3 uni are from UK by the way. Gave them my certificates and now what i got to do is to prepare my audition tapes! This is my second time going to Edulink. Went there 2 years ago but wasn't prepared to apply. They actually recognised me!! This couple in their 60's i guess, is running the agency. Mr and Mrs Lee. So those who are thinking of overseas education, please look for them!!
Well, applying is one thing. Whether i can get the money is another thing. So, all the best to me!

I sincerely apologise for the harsh words in my previous post. Just that i care for friendship now more than ever. But i will not take the words which i put out. I don't want us to regret one day when one of us won't be able to be with us anymore. Don't regret.. cherish what with have now, alright? =)
Life's getting exciting. University of Melbourne my first target. The faculty head is coming to singapore personally to do the audition. Audition is next tuesday and i only knew about it like this morning??????????? Better late than never. 3 pieces to prepare and i will do what i can. Just try.. in case i get in? HAHA.. but if don't, just treat it as a learning experience. Not as if I've never failed an audition before! School will be commencing next Feb.. So, just see how.. all the best!!!
